Inmigrantes...en la sociedad de la Información. Inmigrants in the Information society era

Primero de todo, al Cesar lo que es del Cesar. Esta teoría de los Inmigrantes es una teoría que me comentó Florencio Barranco, para mi uno de los pocos, si no el único, realmente Gurú de la comunicación digital (y eso a pesar de su humildad).
Yo la voy a desarrollar en este post, y os tengo que reconocer que no sé cuanto de lo que a continuación escribo es de lo que me contó, y cuanto es de mi cosecha propia; así que, supongamos que todo lo que pongo aquí me lo contó Florencio. Ahí va.
La gente de mi generación (tengo 41 años, así que pongamos todo el grupo de los 36-37 para arriba) somos puros inmigrantes...en la sociedad de la información. Nos intentamos adaptar a la nueva cultura, absorber sus costumbres, sus herramientas, presumir de hablar su mismo idioma..., portamos con entusiasmo la bandera de la Sociedad de la Información como queriendo identificarnos y que nos identifiquen con los nuevos códigos, lideramos las manifestaciones callejeras portando la pancarta de "yo también soy digital",...pero hagamos lo que hagamos los nativos, la gente que nacio ya dentro de esta nueva sociedad nos ven como inmigrantes. Nacimos cuando tan solo había dos canales de televisión, un telefono con "alambre" para el auricular, una maquina olivetti para procesar textos y una casio para procesar números. Hemos llegado en pateras y haremos cualquier cosa por conseguir un permiso de residencia en la nueva sociedad.

Y pensar que nos creemos los líderes de futuras generaciones...!

First of all let me "to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's", the theory I am about to develope in this post comes from Florencio Barranco, who is one if not the only Guru on digital communications I have ever met.
I have to admit that I do not really know how much of the theory I am about to develope comes from Florencio's and how much comes from my own thoughts; so, let's suppose that everything what I write in this post comes from what Florencio told me. Here it goes.

The people of my generation (I am 41 years old, so let's consider in my age group the whole group of the 36-37 and above) are pure immigrants ... in the society of the information. We try to adapt to the the new culture, to absorb its customs, to use its tools, to show off we know how to speak the new language ..., we proudly carry on with the big flag of the new Information Society to indentify ourselves and to be identified with the new simbols. We lead the street riots with the big banner saying "I am digital too"...but it does not matter what we do, native people, those who were born in this new society know that we are inmigrants. We were born at a time there were just 2 tv channels, a cord phone hooked on the wall, an ollivety typewriter as word processor and a Casio calculator as the best "excel application". We have got here as wetbacks and we will do our best to get the New Society Green Card.

So, how come we can believe that we are the leaders of the future generations?
